Folk Jee
Long time, no see! I think I've been busy with everything. With life, I mean because so much has happened. But I came to tell you that I have a new blog project: Folk Jee. It's more like an online magazine, written in English AND in Finnish, where I gather things and interesting stuff from the kingdom on plants. So lots of green nature and garden things and also some traditional handcrafts in folklore kinda way. And then living slow and happy. That's what its all about.
I guess that means that this blog has come to an end. It's a bit sad but at the same time I'm so excited about my new baby, Folk Jee. I'm so happy to get into blogging again and I cannot wait to see you guys in my new blog too. So thank you /KNOW / FEEL, you were the best first love.
Friday
Sweden / Sverige
Our neighbor is just better, bolder and more creative. It's a fact. I know it. Every time. Now this: a logo for their country, their own typeface, a cool webpage, everything! I love it! A note to Finland: We are boring!

How much you can express with just a few lines!!! Polish designer Michal Krasnopolski has made these amazing and simple movie posters that illustrate classic movies with a minimalistic touch. I love!

Science posters
The summer is slowly coming! And that's why my blog has been so quiet because I much rather spend my free time outside longboarding or biking. Finland's spring/summer is just too short to be in front of the computer all the time (that's what I do at work 5 days a week).
But check out what I found: these coolest ever science posters from Hydrogene Portfolio. I like!

Wilder Quarterly
I'm addicted to Wilder Quarterly. I found this publication while surfing on the Internet and it just screamed my name. Here's how they describe themselves:
"Wilder Quarterly is a publication for people enthralled by the natural and growing worlds. In our pages you’ll find green thumbs, rooftop gardeners, foodies and chefs, seed savers, architects, hobby farmers, horticulturalists, innovators, amateurs, and experts. Just your everyday mix of growing enthusiasts. Each issue is ‘life through the lens of the growing world’— indoors and out, culture, travel, food and design. Published seasonally for this generation of growers and the next."
I'm seriously thinking of subscribing this.

Wednesday
Lonkenstein
The sun is shining outside! I feel the longboard season coming! I want to have a longboard (perhaps from Finnish Lonkenstein)!
Monday
No Noise
We live in a world full of logos and sometimes it's just too much. So Selfridges decided to make the logo noise go away with their No Noise campaign. I love it! They asked a bunch of brands to design their products without the logos. Of course you can recognize the products from the shapes of the bottles or other visual things but still! The idea of making your shopping environment a bit relaxing and more quiet for your eyes is just brilliant.

Pink plywood
One of my favorite materials is plywood. And when I saw this plywood cabinet by HOWAREYOU, it made me smile. And I love the color burst that's inside the cabinet!

Look what I got from my dear friend M, thank you thank you! (Ok, at first I have to admit that when I got this I was just so excited that I opened the present even it's not Christmas yet.) It's the traditional calendar by photography students from Lahti Institute of Design. This year the theme is wood and the calendar looks so amazing! Get yours here.

Bond + Aschan
Just look at this interior design in Aschan Coffee & Deli! The design and branding is by Bond. I love how they have combined the jugend feeling of the space to the modern furniture and details. Every little thing just screams good design!

Kasper
I decided to dedicate this post to this creative Finnish guy who has the ultimate Finnish design blog: Kasper Strömman. All the things he makes or founds are the real Finnish design stuff. REAL like old Finnish postcards, vinyl covers, weird glass designs, designs from everyday life. And I especially love his reviews about different assortments of sweets.
And now he has designed t-shirts for neighborhoods in Helsinki. How cool are these!!

World Chess Championship
This is one the coolest rebrandings that I've seen: Pentagram for the World Chess Championship. The 3D logo, the geometrical patterns and the whole visuality is just awesome!
