Friday

Kakao

I got this Russian choco from my dad and I really like the graphic design. So old-school.

Thursday

Home in Helsinki

A while ago I visited a beautiful home and I just had to photograph everything I saw.

Wednesday

Leaves

This is from my travel diary. Leaves from India. I still remember the moment I drew those. We were sitting in a train going from Mumbai to Goa and there were these beautiful green landscapes that I watched for hours through the caged train window. And the little bag with seeds: that is cumin seeds that a girl sitting with us gave me (the girl only slept or ate during the whole train trip). Very strange trip was that...

Tuesday

Panda

I love that panda cap!

Monday

Pillars of Creation

HubbleSite is one the best places to visit if you want to be amazed how beautiful this universe is. I could spend hours there just looking those amazing photos. Nebulaes have always been my favorites and this photo of gas pillars in the Eagle Nebula is just perfect. Just imagine that in those pillars the stars are made. At least I am blown away.

Sunday

Baking day

Sun is shining and it's so warm! I went to flea markets and then started to bake. And for the first time in years it was successful. Because I have been trying to make buns that are like real buns (soft, beautiful and taste good, those kinds that my mom makes) but somehow it hasn't been working. Until now! I was so happy with myself and even the bread that I made was so delicious that I was jumping for joy. I think the success was due to my outfit which I wanted to be extra cute for the baking session. After all the success I did some sunbathing on my balcony and I think now I will go there again.

Saturday

Symmetry

I love these pictures because of the symmetry created with all that stuff (photos from Deko 4/11).

Friday

Kitch

I love good quality food and when my good friend took me to Kitch in Helsinki I was just blown away with the food. This ecological and retro styled bar and restaurant is the best place (in Finland) if you want a perfect first class burger (I had lamb which was soooo good) in an easy-going environment. And now this sounds like an advertisement but great things are even more greater if you can share them.

Thursday

Rubik

I love the album cover of Rubik's latest one called Solar. So dreamy, so Sofia Coppola and so Finnish summer. And the music is beautiful too!

Wednesday

Drawing on the wall

This idea feels so sweet that I think I have to get a little child in my apartment just to draw on to the walls.

Tuesday

Easter...

...is coming to my balcony.

Monday

Sustainable gems

Sustainable jewellery, this is something that I appreciate. And these designs by Andy Lifschutz are so beautiful too! The metals are recycled and the gemstones are extracted from the earth with minimal environmental disruption. How great is that!

Sunday

Cake overdose

I'm back! And so happy happy happy about being home! There is so much to show you but perhaps I should start with this very sweet and colourful food experience I had in Helsinki's Kakkugalleria (cake gallery). On Sundays there is all-you-can-eat-day for 11 euros and of course we had to try it (I think it will be once in a lifetime experience as I'm not so big of a fan of cakes). But I totally recommend if you like cakes. And just for the visuality, too.

Saturday

The Naked and Famous

This will be the theme song of my summer.

Wednesday

Omo

Somewhere in Africa there live these beautiful people, Omo, who decorate themselves with flowers.

Sunday

Going

I'm going again. But this time it's for a place that has become like a second home because of the warmt of a Karelian heart. I'm leaving my computer home because of my super busy schedule for the next two weeks so forgive me if my blogging will be a little infrequent. But I will be back, then for good (I can't wait!).

Saturday

Quilts

Cool quilting. Do I need to say more?

Friday

Who killed Laura Palmer?

This post is dedicated to my dear friend who just got to know who killed Laura Palmer. I have tried years to watch all the episodes of Twin Peaks but I still haven't got the time for that (and I do not know who killed Laura). But I found this interesting website about Twin Peaks. Very interesting things there.
