Ice ice baby

Wow! These ice caves in China look amazing and scary at the same time.

Wednesday

Log lady

I put this already on Twitter but I like this so much that I want to put it here too. I got this log lady sticker from my friend at work. How cool is this!!!

Tuesday

Exploded flowers

These flower photos by Qi Wei are so beautiful. They look like someone has disassembled a flower like a mechanical gadget and examined every little piece very intensively. Sounds something that I would love to do. Maybe this will be one of my summer projects.

Finding places

This post was supposed to come yesterday but it didn't. I don't even know what to write but maybe something like this: the best places in the world are the places where you feel like home (like in a human size bird house). Or inside a rapid. Or nature. Or somewhere where the sun is shining.

(Tip: Tampere Museum of Natural History is so great!)

Saturday

Tame Impala and other stories

Saturday music as it's best.(Watch especially the third one which I put here just because the music video made me laugh.) And now I also have to defend myself a bit. Because so many people have asked me in the past that do I like M83. And I've always said that it's not my type of music. Well, I have to take all that back because now I like it (and please don't ask me why). I know, I'm a bit slow with these things sometimes.

Friday

Peru(na)

Peru is my new favorite with it's mountains, misty forests, colours and geometric patterns.  My fascination started from a joke when me and my friend laughed that a potato (in Finnish "peruna") must be Peru's national food  (I cannot even remember why we started talking about Peru). Well, anyway, now I wan't to go to Peru and I want to have all those geometric print fabrics. New must-see-before-you-die country to my list.

This collection by MGSM is so awesome. My mostly-black wardrobe needs something like this. Summer colour love.

Wednesday

Chrystal beach

I know that this is my third post today but I just couldn't keep these photos just for myself any longer. Because today I went for the first official spring walk to all the places that I used to go when it's summer. The beaches. And I saw something so amazing. A thing that I have never seen: a hidden beach glistening with icecubes! It looked like chrystals floating on the water and the sound they made! WOW! I think I stood there a long time because I was just so blown away. My two favorite beaches were reminding me that it's not so long anymore before it's summer and then I'm just gonna swim and sunbathe whenever I can. Oh, the summer memories! And chrystal beaches.

Purity Ring

New music alert! I found this when I was writing the previous post. Multitasking with internet. But Purity Ring is my this week's favorite for sure.

Labor Day

This year I spent my Labor Day at this amazing villa where lives very lively and fun people. There was food (first things first), drinks, props, balloons, a beautiful backyard and a live band!

How to spend a perfect Sunday:

- make excellent breakfast
- get your sunglasses, have a spring walk in the sunshine and locate every single green thing
- buy ice creams and let them melt a little in the sun
- bump into another friend and hang around with her
- have a drink at the terrace
- make a halloumi salad
