Saturday

Flea-ing

I've made great flea market founds recently. Especially the moccasins (Vagabond!).

Tuesday

Restaurant day / Flea market

We spotted ourselves on this photo!!! On Sunday it was Restaurant day and there was a little tapas restaurant and flea market on Z's backyard. It was so nice. I made some good founds.

Monday

Winter, I will kick your ass!

Finally finally finally!!! My long search for cool winter boots is over! I'm not that easy to please with winter boots (I want them to be comfortable, simple, warm - and the hardest part - cool-looking) and that's why all of the new boots have been left to the store shelf so many times. I don't want to compromise. I already quit my search for this winter. But then today I came across to these wild guys in a flea market near my workplace. OMG, I think I won't be taking these off my feet until all the snow has melted away. (I also found this cute and warm wool sweater that I just couldn't leave there.)

Saturday

The Mysteries of Peking and so on

Successful Saturday in the flea market.

Wednesday

Angel lantern

From the summer to Christmas. Look what I just found from my nearest flea market: an angel lantern! This brings so much memories from my childhood. Every Christmas my mom used to build our lantern and light the candles and then the lantern would make this beautiful sound and angels we're going around. It was hypnotizing. I remember it being one of the most amazing things at Christmas.

I've been looking for this kind of lantern for so many years. Not so actively but still. And now it just waited for me in the flea market. I had to get it. This one has double circles of angels (the normal one has one) but it doesn't matter. It's still so so so beautiful and amazing!

Sunday

Success

It has been so long time since I actually found anything from flea markets. But this weekend was a success. And we finally got my Juno connected to the computer and some music was created.

Friday

Rugs and shoes

I already told you about the amazing found (our little Technics) from last weekend's flea market round trip. I also made some other amazing founds from that trip and here they are. These rugs that have the coolest, almost optical pattern and two pairs of shoes! Very successful trip indeed.

Sunday

Changing my wardrobe

It's Design week here in Tampere and today we went to Vaihtovaate-happening. The idea was to bring some of your old, good quality clothes and exchange them with someone else's. I made so good findings! And it was just great to spend time with my friend, having lunch at our lunch place and just watching people get happy about changing and finding things.

Saturday

Saturday in the sun

I think this was officially the first day of summer. Because I did all the summer things that I usually do on a summer day. And it's still May! And I also found the most perfect leather jacket (again from flea market, this has been the week of jackets). Then I saw my dear friend and we tried to find new bikinis for the summer (didn't find yet), we had salad lunch at Bistro Venla. Then we headed to the beach to watch boys play beach volley. I made flower crown for my friend and when she went to play volley, I daydreamed on the grass. Almost perfect. (And I love love love my new Poni-bike!)

Tuesday

Denim jacket

The weather was so good that I decided to walk home from work. It led to finding this amazingly funny and cool denim jacket from flea market! I just couldn't resist myself as it only cost 3,50 €. I think I have to make small fixes to it but I have time because this is a winter jacket. Then I just sat on a park bench and enjoyed the sunshine and tulips.

Wednesday

Girl can't have too many shoes

I usually find it easier to find cool and good shoes from flea markets. You can have great quality shoes that are cheap and it's unlikely to see the same shoes on anyone else. Just like these shoes that I just bought from a flea market nearby! These are for winter (which is now turning to spring) but I know that when the next winter comes I'm going to need shoes like these! Plus I like the graphical detail on the side. (And I'm a shoe addict, I know.)

Sunday

Weekend findings

The most relaxing chillout weekend. After deciding that I wouldn't go to Lost in Music (no one wanted to come along and alone it wouldn't be so much fun) I let myself do all the chillout things that I like: going to flea markets (found cool things like huge bag inspired by my ekolovesanimal post, vintage leather belt, leather tassel and a top), got some take-away food so that I wouldn't have to make food myself, finding new great music (like Real Estate's Younger that yesterday) and watching good movies like Cry baby and Away we go.
