Ramon Todo combines glass with stones and makes art pieces that are just amazing! Loving the simplicity and contrast of transparent glass and rough stone.

Pi
I love mathematics! Especially when it's visualized. Because it's actually visualized everywhere you look. Omg, I could talk about the beauty of mathematics for so long...
So I love these data visualizations by Cristian Ilies Vasile and Martin Krzywinski. These are Pi and other mathematical numbers. Gorgeous!
Tuesday
Hypnopompic
These textile designs by Kustaa Saksi are just amazing! His exhibition Hypnopompic is now at Korjaamo and it looks very interesting.

Flower constructions
I love these flower art pieces by Anne Ten Donkelaar! They look so fragile and beautiful, like out of this world.
Tuesday
Technological mandala
Check out these mandalas made of electronic components! The artist behind these is Leonardo Ulian and all of his art is quite technology-based. I like.
And sorry for the slow blogging lately, my Internet has been doing weird things and I'm trying to fix the problems as soon as possible.

Mimi Jung
These wall hangings by Mimi Jung from Brook&Lyn are gorgeous!! Especially the ones where she has combined wood bark with her weavings. I daydream of one of these.

Backwards
Tonight the theme is: how does stuff look like if it's grinded? The D/struct project by Lucas Maassen and Raw Color is amazing and then I found out this guy who grinds things with blender. Gone are the iPad and glow sticks!
Wednesday
Chromosaturation
White rooms saturated with pure RGB shades! Does it sound cool? Yes it does. Carlos Cruz Diez has created these rooms since the 1960's and the project is still going strong.

Art loves food
Bompas & Parr, the gastronomic art duo that continued to play and experiment with food after their childhood. I just love this.

Giuseppe vs. Klaus
Creating real-life portraits using vegetables, fruits and flowers is maybe the weirdest thing in art but Giuseppe Arcimboldo made the unsual paintings like that in the 1500's.
Then 400 years later photographer Klaus Enrique Gerves recreated these paintings. How amazing and weird at the same time!

Glass cities
Glass. Always near to my heart. Just look at these art pieces by Michaela Tomiškova! Her glass pieces are fun, beautiful and interesting at the same time. I think this is the most amazing glass artwork that I've seen for a while.
Monday
Lego + Star wars + Music
My friend showed me this and I think I have to share this here too because this is so amazing idea!

Know Canada
Bruce Mau Design with Studio 360 with Kurt Andersen (an arts and culture radio program) redesigned Canada's image for knowcanada.org. When I first saw these I didn't quite get it. But after a few pictures it all hit me. I think this is just genious. Simple and fun, versatile and totally relates to Canada.

Steal like an artist
I dig these things that you need to know about life and art (by writer and artist Austin Kleon). Honest, simple and efficient.

Nature + art
It rains all the time here. So it reminded me of this great nature artist Andy Goldsworthy and his rain art. He also makes some other great stuff using nature's ingredients. As does Cornelia Konrads whose art is just as amazing.
