Acid jeans

I'm going to Helsinki this weekend and I cannot wait! We're (me and Bambi) going to have some fun with my hair. Something inspired by bubblegum situations. And of course the new hair needs new style things. And weird jeans have been on my shopping list for a while now. I have browsed through so many shops and now I have collected a group of good options. Here's my investigation results (and I really like the Weekday yellow ones):

Himalayan

Winter. Silent blog and just being inside, reading books, sauna, dreaming and sleeping. And just now I bumped into these weird shoes from Camper that somehow are quite interesting. I don't know if I really want these or if I really hate these...

Made from Cool

I love these Jack & Jones' advertisement videos. Christopher Walken is so cool and great and these videos are just AWESOME! These also remind me of my grandma who was a dressmaker and she had all the same sewing things that you can see on these clips.

Nanushka

I just came across this Hungarian designer Nanushka (real name Sandra Sandor). Cool clothes! Especially the denim pieces.

Sale founds and others

I've treated myself another gift because I found a cute little dress from the Marimekko's summer sale: Laiturilla dress. It arrived yesterday and I feel like Little My (from the Moomins) in the summertime when I'm wearing it. 

Another treat is inspired by my kitchen fanatic boyfriend who insisted that I have to stop poisoning myself with my teflon frypan. So he suggested that I should buy this traditional La Lyonnaise steel frypan which is a bit of a professional stuff. But after it arrived yesterday and of course Z wanted to test drive it (my job was to get rid of the old teflon frypan), I'm convinced that is the best frypan I've ever had! 

So quality at first is my new motto!

Clogs from Stockholm

I just got these beautiful clogs! These are a birthday present for me from my Mom! Thank you thank you! I ordered them from Lotta From Stockholm and the clogs feel so good when walking. And look so good too!

Rainbow shirt

A while ago I promised that I would share the pattern for this rainbow shirt with you. This is one of  the most reblogged things on my blog and so many has asked me where I got that shirt, where's the fabric from or where they would get the pattern. The thing has been that I sew the shirt myself, the fabric was a sale found from the local fabric store and I didn't have any pattern when I made it.

But now I've made a pattern for you! It's simple but so is this shirt. I think anyone can do this!

Just get your favorite fabric and then it just needs few little stitches. And yes, this is a one-size model, but you can also make it smaller or larger. It's up to you. The measurements are from the shirt that I made.

1. Cut the front and the back pieces. You can see the sleeve holes marked on the pattern.

2. First sew the shoulder seams and the side seams together  (front and back pieces). Remember to leave the sleeve holes open. Now you actually have the shirt roughly done!

3. If you want to make look more finished, hem the sleeve holes, neckline and the bottom.

Winter, I will kick your ass!

Finally finally finally!!! My long search for cool winter boots is over! I'm not that easy to please with winter boots (I want them to be comfortable, simple, warm - and the hardest part - cool-looking) and that's why all of the new boots have been left to the store shelf so many times. I don't want to compromise. I already quit my search for this winter. But then today I came across to these wild guys in a flea market near my workplace. OMG, I think I won't be taking these off my feet until all the snow has melted away. (I also found this cute and warm wool sweater that I just couldn't leave there.)

Winter warmness

It has been a constant snow storm here in Finland for at least two weeks now. I don't like it. I don't want to go out. Although the temperature isn't that low but the wind makes it feel ten times more cold. That's why the only clothes that I want to wear are knits because the only thing in my mind is to stay warm. And because I know that this will continue the next three months I would love to have cool sweaters and wool things more! Like amazingly talented Sandra Backlund's designs.

Little bird's cool collection

I really like Marimekko's clothes at the moment. So much that I would love to have every single dress from them. And the new fabrics also.

Autumn flea

I have so many dear and cool clothes but I just don't use them anymore. So what would be a better way to share them than to organize a flea market! And this time I decided to try to do it in my blog.

Unfortunately this is only available in Finland. So be quick and hopefully these clothes will find a new home. I'm about size 40 to 42 so the clothes are something like that. And the shoes about size 39. All the clothes are in good shapeand in good condition. Just ask more if you are interested in anything.

Changing my wardrobe

It's Design week here in Tampere and today we went to Vaihtovaate-happening. The idea was to bring some of your old, good quality clothes and exchange them with someone else's. I made so good findings! And it was just great to spend time with my friend, having lunch at our lunch place and just watching people get happy about changing and finding things.

RGB Silk

These digitally printed silk scarves took my breath away when I saw these photos. They are designed by Milan-based Carnovsky and the collection is called RGB and I want every single piece of that collection. I don't know what would I do with them but I still want them. Totally beautiful.

Peru(na)

Peru is my new favorite with it's mountains, misty forests, colours and geometric patterns.  My fascination started from a joke when me and my friend laughed that a potato (in Finnish "peruna") must be Peru's national food  (I cannot even remember why we started talking about Peru). Well, anyway, now I wan't to go to Peru and I want to have all those geometric print fabrics. New must-see-before-you-die country to my list.
