I cut this photo from a local newspaper at Kotka. When saw it I first laughed, then got sad and then just interested. There is just something totally strange in this picture.

America and masks

This was my weekend. (Breakfast at Kiila, meeting a great American boy, having American coffee at Brooklyn Cafe, talking, seeing Design Forum's exhibitions, meeting friends at a mask party, drinking, dancing and wanting to have a longboard.)

Life is simple things

These photos happened almost over a month ago but I still want to put them here. Because the best things in life are the simplest things. Like good bread with few good basic ingredients and a sunset and someone who's with you to enjoy all that.

I'm going to Helsinki this weekend, to enjoy some more great, simple things. Like having breakfasts and seeing my friends. Enjoy you're weekend, I'll be back.

Brain 3D:ed

Take a look at your brain cells. I'm quite sure they aren't as cool coloured as these images show but cool anyway. These are the first 3D maps of brain by Harvard scientists and all the pics look like someone's taken too much of acid. Or just visiting a candy shop.

Hard

Sometimes it's so hard to live with go-with-the-flow attitude. Because I don't want to plan everything in my life many months ahead and when you have a regular job you just have to plan everything. I hate that. And then it's so so hard to have to wait for something so exciting that you could just sell every little thing in your life to just skip to the thing you're waiting. Hard!!!! And because of that it's so so so hard to keep a motivation to keep everything regular going on. Sundays and Mondays are horrible.

Roller derby Sunday

Wow! This Sunday was all about roller derby. It was Tampere Open Skate-happening where my friends wanted to go and try out the whole roller derby thing. I was there just to take pics and videos and it was so much fun to watch the team of Tampere (Tampere Rollin' Hos) practice. After that we went to my place to make some excellent halloumi salad. And now I'm just waiting to have the chance to see more roller derby action.

Advanced Style

When I grow up, I want to be like them! I want that attitude, that creativity and playfulness with their clothes! Everything.

The Royal Tenenbaums

I adore this movie! And yesterday I saw a man and his sons biking and they all were wearing similar sweaters and it reminded me of Chas Tenenbaum and his sons. Maybe I have to watch this again this weekend (as it's raining the whole time).

Lynx

This drawing by Ricardo Martinez reminded me of a picture I saw a while ago at Jyväskylä. It was a picture of a lynx and there was a text which said that the picture is by the lynx (spelling mistake I hope). It was so funny to think how the lynx would be drawing a portrait of itself.
