Monday

Arboretum

Sundays are made for long walks. Especially if it's just perfect autumn weather and you have a camera with you. We visited yesterday one of my favorite places in Tampere: Hatanpää arboretum. There was a rosegarden still full of gorgeous roses, apples everywhere, sun glistening from water, scary basements with skeleton paintings. And we continued our walk through the city, saw a rubber duck, beautiful shadows, a big whole just next to Klubi. Sunday, oh Sunday.

Sunday

The Original Hipsters

We're not the first ones, you know. If you don't believe go check out Dads are the Original Hipsters.

Saturday

Needlepoint for men

How funny is this book about needlepoint by Rosey Grier, former professional American footballer. I would like to have that panda pillow.

Friday

When stardust hits you

I love astronomy. I love photography. (And I realize this isn't the first time this week when I mention that I love when two lovely things are combined together in a beautiful way.) So may I introduce Ignacio Torres. The Texan animator creates these stunning images. I'm in love. Again.

Thursday

Newspaper Club

This is what we cannot stop talking about at work. My colleague found this place where you can print your own newspaper. It's called Newspaper Club and I love the idea of printing, for example, your wedding photos to a newspaper and send that to all your guests. Now I just want to design newspapers.

Wednesday

Tuesday

Ghost

My favorite Lego character.

Monday

Black holes and worm holes

A while ago I promised someone that I would explain him what are black holes. By the time it was night, we were both too tired and it was too hard to explain something like. But now I have found the cutest drawings of a black hole and a worm hole (from an astronomy book but I cannot remember its name). Unfortunately the texts are in Finnish but I like the drawings as much as the subject so maybe it's ok.

Sunday

Woodhouse

Oslo-based design studio HEYDAYS does some great stuff. For example the visuality for Norwegian wood supplier Woodhouse.

Saturday

Paper cameras and cassettes

I adore these cameras and cassettes and everything made of paper by Zim and Zou. More pics here.

Friday

Flower styling

Yesterday I bumped into Amy Merrick's website and her beautiful blog called An Apple A Day. I just love how she combines all the flowers in her arrangements and that she thinks of flower bouquet as a landscape. Styling with flowers is also something that I would love to do.

Thursday

Hipstamatic

These photos are from last weekend which was AWESOME. One of my friends who visited has Hipstamatic on his iPhone and I think he loves it (I love it a bit too). So thanks Bambi for all these beautiful photos <3
