Wednesday

Mimi

I adore these crayon-candles by Emanuel Cohen! The idea is amazing! You can first use the crayon as a candle, then colour something with it. And the package design is awesome, too. Yes, please.

Monday

With no voice

Last weekend was great. Although now I don't have any voice but that's just because of a little and strange flu. New hair is in the house (thanks to Mikko at Osos Polares, the best beautician in the world), I love it and it had a pink touch on it on Saturday (made with Kevin Murphy's awesome Color Bug). I saw so many good friends, had a good lunch at Pueblo and laughed so much. Perfect way to spend the weekend.

Saturday

Life

This tells it all. (I'll be off to Helsinki this weekend. To do what I love: to be with my friends.)

Friday

Spring, come quickly

I'm really into all the spring-like colors of Issey Miyake's collection for spring 2012. Yellow, I need you (and it's still about 5 months before you can even talk about spring here in Finland).

Thursday

Claire

Did I mention that I now love Grimes aka Claire? (The music! And she reminds me of my very dear friend from high school. We haven't been in touch for a long time but maybe now, Grimes as my inspiration, I will write her a letter.)

Wednesday

Grimes love

OMG! I never saw it coming when I went to YouTube very innocently and accidentally found the most beautiful music that I have ever heard. There is something magical, something sad, something happy, something ancient, something very new, electronical combined with classical. It has all the elements that I usually like in music. Grimes. My new love. I have to get all her albums. Just have to. Meanwhile I'll listen to these. I think I won't be sleeping tonight.

Terrariums

There's just something about terrariums. They're like miniature worlds that you can create. Loving these from Score+Solder.

Tuesday

Balloons/lamps

Balloons is the name of the lamp collection designed by Lucie Koldova and Dan Yeffet for Brokis. There is something funny in these lamps, and something rough at the same time. I confused. And that's a good thing.

Monday

i(nspiration)-pad

This inspiration pad by Mark Thomasset is awesome. Makes me want to draw all over it! Much cooler that iPad.

Sunday

Beautiful things before the snow

Two important things to remember:
1. A long walk with a friend can open your eyes to all things beautiful although you thought it was just another grey and cold day.
2. You are allowed to buy yourself a gift once in a while. Just for no reason. Just because you really want something you know you will love forever. (Just like these gorgeous shoes that I have been wanting for so many months and now I bought them as a present for me.)

Saturday

India song

This is the mystical India that I once wanted to experience. (Then I saw the reality which wasn't so mystical.) But still there is something very fascinating and beautiful about these photos by Karen Knorr.

Friday

Donald, Mickey and Goofy

I have totally forgotten to show you these amazing drawings that I found again from the house my dad bought. These are made by the kids of the previous owners (maybe in the 70's).

Thursday

Infographics 2.0

When information graphics are good, they are simple and yet understandable. But it's so hard to design a good one. I totally love the new approach for this problem by Peter Orntoft.

Wednesday

Deers everywhere

Remember the house my dad bought and that we have been renovating? Ok, so we found a beautiful deer gobelin in the house and I also remember gobelins like that from my childhood. It's so beautiful and I'm just waiting to get a bigger apartment and then I'll secretly steal that gobelin for my walls. And now there are also these beautiful deer sweaters that you can get from LN-CC. Dreamy.

Tuesday

Coolest jewellery

These futuristic and hip pieces by Ana Maria Design are amazing!

Monday

Midnight wedding

Wedding post again! But I'm totally intrigued by the idea of a dark midnight wedding like here. And the dress by Alexander McQueen is like an art piece. I mean why not dress black on your wedding? Black is the original colour of wedding dresses and I think plain white is so boring. (And I know Vera Wang just designed black wedding dresses for this season so maybe I will be seeing those more.)

Sunday

Golden antlers

These deer antlers get a new life in the hands of artist Cassandra Smith. I love the modern and colourful twist of rustic things.

Thursday

Black floor coming

Just wanted to share with you this pic with the most amazing floor! I'm gonna be in silence for few days. Nothing to worry, I just need to get some other things done. See you soon!

Tuesday

Metamorphosis

Totally weird and fascinating photos by Me andEdward.

Monday

Wooden bowls

These wooden bowls by Hans-Henning Pedersen are amazing! Just like ceramics made on wheel but they're wood.

Sunday

Lanvin video ad

Fashion inspired weekend continues with this awesome video ad campaign for Lanvin. I'm loving the awkwardness when they dance and the whole idea of not taking the fashion too seriously although the clothes are so chic.

Saturday

The coolest in fashion

Me and my dear friend B have a huge crush on André Leon Talley, "one of the most influential people in the fashion industry". In our opinion he is one of the coolest people there is with his title (editor-at-large), big tent-like clothes and witty attitude. When we grow up, we want to be André. (And if you want to see André, just watch ANTM or The September Issue.)

Thursday

Working out the style

If you follow me on Twitter, you may have noticed that few days ago I had my first ever workout session with a personal trainer. It gave a much needed enhancement at the gym (although I'm still a bit sore from that) and now I have a huge workout crush. And especially to all that extra that is associated with workouts. Like fashion.

And I am not a sporty girl. No way. I have never ever before liked sport stuff. But now I love it. I have my Casall yoga mat which I adore. And now I also adore Stella McCartney's latest collection for Adidas. That ski jacket especially. Can I have the whole collection, pretty please?
