Saturday

What are you doing New Year's Eve?

The loveliest Zooey and Joseph. I hope you have a sweet New Year's Eve.

Friday

Vertical forest

I like this idea of a vertical forest by Italian architect Stefano Boeri. Why not build a forest when building a skyscraper!

Thursday

Ribbonesia

These ribbon brooches and everything by Ribbonesia are just awesome!!! Like origamis but not quite. It all made me smile when I saw these and that's definitely a good sign.

Wednesday

Ballpoint

Shane McAdams makes the most amazing ballpoint-pen art. Color splash!

Tuesday

Wonderful world

It's not very nice when Christmas holiday is just too short, you're just too tired and you just don't have the capacity to know every little thing you should do. The days after holidays are always awful so maybe it's good to have something to remind that world is wonderful.

Thursday

Sisterhood

The best thing about Christmas is this: to lounge with your siblings and just do nothing. To just be together for few days. Tomorrow I'll leave for Christmas holiday and boy do I need that. Today I received some huge news and I feel excited, sad and overwhelmed at the same time. And I think I need digest it a little bit. Lounging will help.

Merry Christmas to you all, I'll be back soon.

Wednesday

Milky art

Photographer Mark Mawson creates these beautiful images by playing with milk and colours. Amazing!

Tuesday

Paper Christmas

If you're still looking for different and cool ideas for Christmas, here's a few. I love this PiƱata Tree and the pastel cubicles and you can make them easily (click the links to see the diy instructions).

Monday

Unhate

This is a bit old but I still wanted to share this with you guys. United Colors of Benetton has always made controversial ad campaigns and I like that. So when they released these ads showing some of the world leaders kissing, of course it started conversation (I think especially the one ad with Pope led to its censorship). I think these are amazing.

Sunday

Miranda July: The Future

Maybe a year ago I saw Miranda July's film Me and you and everyone we know. It was so beautiful. Now I bumped into an offcut of her latest film The Future. And because this little piece of the film is so amazingly sweet, I think I will have to watch the whole movie.

Saturday

Pinecone

This pinecone lamp by Pavel Eekra is so beautiful. I would love to have that hanging from my ceiling.

Friday

My Christmas things

I'm not really a Christmas person. But somehow I've had this secret fixation that I would love to have a small 70's style kitch Christmas tree. Just plain white with minimal decoration. And yesterday, with the help of my co-worker, I bought myself one. It's horrible and great at the same time and I'm so into it. My other Christmas thing is this paper snowman from the 80's. (I know people who will be horrified by all of this.)

Wednesday

Just hanging out

I bumped into this cool website called awesome people hanging out together. Great photographs that sometimes make me wish I could be in that place with all the cool guys and hang out with the likes of Darth Vader.

Sunday

Let's dance

Although I didn't do any dancing this weekend, this song was the theme song for everything I did. It started to play on Friday at 15.55 and I'm still listening.

Thursday

100,000 simultanious

These photos  by German photographer Werner Kranwetvogel are of North Korean people doing their massive dance spectacle. And there are 100,000 people dancing. OMG. How crazy and cool at the same time.

Wednesday

My sister knows me

My sister know exactly my taste and she posted this pic on her blog. And I do love gemstones, especially in this origami-like form.

Tuesday

Villa Tuglas

I'm here again from my travels! And now you can experience something amazing that I had a privilege to see myself. My friend lives in this most beautiful little jugend house called Villa Tuglas in Helsinki. I visited her and was totally blown away with the history of the house and how you could see and feel it in there. All the original furniture, old photos, old drawings and notes and every little thing that many of Finland's most known artists have left there. And my friend really lives there with all the things!

Friday

Ashi Lake

How beautiful is this photo by Ricardo Bevilaqua. It's from Ashi Lake, Japan and the colors are just amazing!
